Bespoke Acoustic Panels
Creating a harmonious environment for the staff tea rooms at The Royal Hobart Hospital. Mitchells assisted T3D Studios to translate the acoustic panel designs for production using our in-house specialised cutting machines.
Our clients T3D Studios were working on a collaboration with JAWS Architects, Flux Studios, and the Department of Health “To create a more harmonious environment for the staff tea rooms” at The Royal Hobart Hospital Emergency Department.
Our expertise using acoustic PET materials like EchoPanel® meant that T3D Studios could lean on us to ensure that their designs were perfectly translated to production.
Working with Amanda Kay from T3D Studios, Mitchells helped to design these bespoke 8-meter by 3-meter v-grooved acoustic panels for high impact and ease of installation.
We advised the best design approach for our specialised cutting machines, helped with colour selection, and supplied prototype examples for pre-approval.
The bespoke v-grooved acoustic panels made using EchoPanel® 908 Cream are incorporated throughout the interiors. These panels feature routed patterns that echo the themes of the Tasmanian landscape, reinforcing the connection to place while contributing to the space’s acoustic performance.
